Patchwork StreetBridge Postpones First Board Meeting
Patchwork StreetBridge Postpones First Board Meeting, Remains Hopeful and Urgent Amid Rising Need

Patchwork StreetBridge, a new nonprofit dedicated to providing life-saving supplies and support to individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness, has postponed its inaugural board meeting originally scheduled for October 1st due to the absence of a third board member needed to fulfill federal nonprofit filing requirements.

While the delay pauses formal steps toward securing 501(c)(3) status, the team behind Patchwork StreetBridge is moving forward with hope and urgency.

"This is just a temporary pause, not a setback," said Mr. Stacy Hall, Founder of Patchwork StreetBridge. "We are confident the right person will step forward soon to help us meet the final requirement so we can fully launch our mission."

Patchwork StreetBridge operates on the principle of meeting people exactly where they are, both literally and emotionally. Through mobile outreach, the organization delivers vital survival essentials such as tents, sleeping bags, coats, socks, hygiene kits, and harm reduction tools directly to individuals living outdoors. In moments of crisis, access to safe transportation can mean the difference between harm and healing. That's why Patchwork StreetBridge offers crisis transport to connect individuals with urgent care, mental health services, or treatment programs. The goal is to remove barriers, respond without judgment, and ensure no one is left to face a crisis alone.

In addition, the organization offers consistent, compassionate wellness check-ins, suicide prevention support, and overdose response—building trust over time with individuals who have often been failed by traditional systems of care.

As fall weather grows colder and winter approaches, the timing of the nonprofit's mission becomes increasingly critical.

"The need is growing by the day," said Mr. Hall. "We are already connecting with people on the streets, but formalizing our nonprofit status will open the door to grants, partnerships, and wider community support. All we need is one more board member—someone with a heart for service and a willingness to help us complete the legal foundation of our work."

Patchwork StreetBridge is currently seeking a Secretary for its Board of Directors—a volunteer position that requires basic recordkeeping, communication, and a shared commitment to the nonprofit's mission.

Those interested in joining the board or supporting Patchwork StreetBridge's outreach efforts are encouraged to reach out using the online contact form or by sending email to .

"This bridge is already being built—one person, one care kit, one conversation at a time. We're just looking for that next person to help us anchor the foundation."

Community Media Arts & Entertainment Group Reorganizes as Patchwork StreetBridge to Focus on Harm Reduction and Homelessness Support

In a significant shift to address urgent community needs, Community Media Arts & Entertainment Group has officially reorganized and rebranded as Patchwork StreetBridge.

While originally focused on local media production, arts programming, and community engagement, the organization has embraced a new mission centered on reducing harm, preserving dignity, and protecting the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness—particularly those living with serious mental illness and substance use disorders.

Patchwork StreetBridge carries out this mission through direct outreach and mobile services, distributing essential survival gear like backpacks, tents, coats, and hygiene kits. The organization also provides harm reduction resources, transportation to critical services such as sanitation, laundry, recovery, and housing access, along with wellness check-ins, suicide prevention efforts, and crisis intervention support. Its person-centered approach offers nonjudgmental care without requiring sobriety or behavior change as a condition of support.

"This isn't just a new name: it's a renewed commitment to meet vulnerable populations where they are, with compassion and practical help," said Mr. Hall, the organization's founding director. "Our goal is to help people survive the streets long enough to choose what comes next."
