Hygiene & Care

GoKind Hygiene Kits

Portable Care. Sustainable Compassion.

For people experiencing homelessness, the challenge of staying clean and healthy without access to running water or private facilities is a daily struggle. This lack doesn't just impact physical health; it erodes dignity, self-worth, and personal safety.

That's why we created the GoKind Hygiene Kit, a compact, bio-friendly kit thoughtfully designed to meet the everyday hygiene needs of those living without shelter. Built for portability, made with the planet in mind, and focused on restoring dignity through care, each item in the kit offers a simple, respectful solution to a complex problem.

This is hygiene that travels.
Compassion that's practical.
And a small but meaningful step toward giving everyone the chance to feel human again.

As a Colorado 501(c)(3) pending charity, we rely on the generosity of our community to get our program on its feet and to keep this work going. We are calling on local businesses, organizations, and community leaders to join us as sponsors, and on individuals to contribute what they can through donations.

Your support directly funds the distribution of these essential hygiene kits to those who need them most, right here in our own streets and neighborhoods.

  • Sponsor a hygiene kit program and make a lasting impact.
  • Donate today and help us deliver dignity, one kit at a time.

Together, we can turn compassion into action and restore a sense of humanity for those too often overlooked.

Our Purpose, In Every Item

Compact Care for Those Who Carry Everything

The GoKind hygiene kit is designed with empathy, dignity, and innovation at its core. It's more than a collection of essentials — it's a response to real, everyday challenges faced by people living without shelter.

For individuals navigating life on the streets, hygiene isn't just about cleanliness — it's about comfort, confidence, and the ability to show up in the world with a sense of self-respect. But without access to bathrooms, running water, or safe spaces, even basic hygiene can become an overwhelming barrier.

That's why every item in the GoKind Hygiene Kit is thoughtfully selected to meet these needs — sustainably, discreetly, and respectfully. Each component supports physical health while also honoring the emotional and psychological well-being of the person using it.

Below are the core goals that guide the creation of every GoKind Hygiene Kit:

  • Help users maintain personal cleanliness and comfort
  • Require no running water or permanent bathroom access
  • Be discreet, lightweight, and easy to carry
  • Use biodegradable, compostable, or recyclable materials
  • Support mental well-being and self-worth

These goals are not just about personal hygiene, they are about maintaining a healthy and clean environment as well.

Special Notice

We are a startup organization at the beginning of our journey — building relationships and community partnerships that will shape and sustain our mission over time. For now, the primary role of our GoKind Essential Pack is to serve as a packaging and distribution partner for organizations supporting people experiencing homelessness.

While we collaborate broadly, we remain intentional and selective about the items we distribute. Each one must reflect our commitment to dignity, practicality, and sustainability. We believe that even the smallest item should offer meaningful support — thoughtfully designed to meet real needs and aligned with the values that define our long-term vision.

Ideal GoKind Hygiene Kit

If Dignity Were a Kit, This Would Be It

This is our vision — the ideal hygiene kit built for dignity, portability, and environmental care. Every item has been thoughtfully selected to meet the needs of people experiencing homelessness, especially those without access to running water or private facilities.

From biodegradable soap sheets to privacy ponchos and compostable wipes, this kit reflects what's possible when care, sustainability, and design come together. It's the standard we're working toward — a model of compassionate, practical hygiene for those who need it most.

However, we also recognize that resources are limited. Materials, manufacturing costs, and funding availability often mean we must make trade-offs. That's why our current kits are built around core essentials — practical, functional, and scalable — while remaining rooted in this larger vision.

The contents below represent our north star — a benchmark for what we hope every kit can one day include.

He was under an overpass in bad weather with no no coat or blanket, just a sweatshirt and a backpack with a broken zipper. He didn't want to talk at first. He didn't trust us, and we didn't ask him to. We just gave him a tent, a sleeping bag, and a warm coat. A few days later, we came back. He remembered our names. He asked for socks. Eventually, he asked for help finding a detox bed. This is how it starts. Not with conditions, but with consistency. That's why we keep showing up.
